It all centers around the St. Patrick Society of Peoria's St. Patrick's Day Parade! One of the largest and longest-continuing SPD parades in the state, it's an event not to be missed. Always held on March 17 at 11am -- rain or shine -- situate yourself along Main Street in downtown Peoria and you'll be in the center of things. Don't forget to bring the kids for the TONS of sweets tossed their way!
