What? Seriously?
That Saint Patrick himself wasn't Irish -- OK, we knew that. And the day itself was originally a quiet, religious holiday -- check. And Irish pubs were traditionally closed on that day -- well, if you say so.

But blue rather than the ubiquitous green? It's true, according to this story by university scholars. There is even a color named St. Patrick's blue, and you've seen it more times than you realize.
